Overbecks

I don't really do landscape photography to speak of, I seem to struggle with anything that has more depth that a flat wall face on. Every now and again I seem to get a bit lucky though. Overbecks is now part of the National Trust but it used to belong to Otto Christop Joseph Gerhardt Ludwig Overbeck an inventor. Allegedly not a mad on but he was an advocate of electrotherapy. This was taken with the Sony RX 100, I borrowed Brian's wallpod for a few moments.

As Pete mentioned the tropical frame on a classic Devon landscape makes for a great contrast

That is a pretty good Landscape Paul, a window down onto the village below. Must look the place up and maybe visit some time. In fact all around that area is quite interesting , but never ventured further than Kingsbridge .

Thanks all. This is from a few months ago now, when we went to Brixham for a week. Overbecks was a short drive away and we were NT members so made use of the "free" entry. The place had quite a few tropical plants in the grounds, in fact it is quite a nice place to visit.

I like this shot, I think the framing with the trees makes it. It has a really good feel to it & it draws you in. I would just suggest a slightly tighter crop, maybe something like this:
