Paper Recommendations

Lately i've been looking at paper choices and i'm looking for recommendations ... so far i've tried a sample of the hahnemuhle photo rag and for my kind of photography it looks really good, does anyone know of anything else I should look at ?

For my finest landscape photos, especially larger prints, I have the printer I use print on fuji gloss photo paper. I have my best prints made with a Lighhtjet 5000. It uses red, green and blue lasers to expose the digital image file on fuji gloss photographic paper. The prints are high gloss with rich colors and are of almost archival quality.

Normally I use either a matt or gloss paper on rolls but recently I used some sheets of Cansson Photosilk and was very impressed. It was for portraits mind and I suspect matt might be better, although maybe not for water.

i may split the difference so to speak and try out one of the pearl coated papers

Hi Davie, I got the name wrong: Photosatin and it is a pearl finish.

I like the idea of using a roll, is there much involved ?

It depends on your printer. Does it have a roll feed option? Also, for smaller prints on heavy-weight paper the curvature can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes.
