Photo Editing Software

does anyone have any recommendations for cheap or free easy photo editing i can put on my newphews netbook for him. I dont like picassa and lightroom kills his computer. Was thinking something that can do simple tasks like contrast, saturation, colour adjustments, brightness.

Maybe but worth a look I'd say Serif have easy tutorials, I know 11 YO's who use this sort of thing, at some of the youth clubs I visit, nothing to be lost in looking he might surprise you

Must admit I gave my nephew lightroom and he seems to get on ok with it

You could have a look at XNview XnView Software - Free graphic and photo viewer, converter, organizer

Its an image organiser/viewer with some editing tools. It should also handle RAW files..

he get on with LR fine Dave, his netbook cant run it to well that the main problem :-(
