Nice pics indeed , but a skater wearing those trainers ??

Adam - great looking set and a very photogenic skate chick

What camera/lenses were you using?

Any reflectors or fill lighting at all?

All shot with 1.4 50mm usm lense most shots were at f1.4-f4 125sec-250sec no reflectors , only used some fill light with on board flash for some shots which I haven't uploaded yet. All the rest shot in natural light with w/b set to cloudy

50mm working very well for you Adam - especially liking #2

These are really nice Adam!
If i were to be critical I think her face is a little lost compared to the highlight in the background in the first one
I would perhaps up the exposure to bring her face out of shadow a little, this might loose the highlights in the background to clipping but i think that may add to the effect rather than take anything away
The pose in the second is really nice, but i might be tempted to go a bit more gritty with the pp! maybe desaturate and retone with a split tone with a skin tone on the highlights (if you use lightroom) or add a similar tone as a layer in photoshop and adjust the opacity ...
the mono toning is a bit strong for me in the last 2, but i can see where you are going!
hope you dont mind the critique?...

In fact, fudge it ...
this is what i mean (plus a bit more) when talking about the second one ...
I really hope you dont mind??? this is perhaps a little ott, but hopfully demonstrates what i mean about gritty...

Yeah can see exactly what mean on the second one going for even more gritty look. Works very well indeed. On the first can always up the exposure and create layer then paint it back in using soft brush in PhotoShop . Oh BTW I use cs3 . With the darker shots just going for some high contrast shots and trying to keep them moody. Apart from editing with cs3 on skin and some burning and dodging I just used camera settings to get the look rather than editing. But like your version . On these shots I was trying to keep editing down to a minimum as its for a editorial for college and they want minimum fiddling . But for my own use might do some more tweaking .

Glad you like it!
Never quite sure about how cocking around with other peoples photos is going to go down!
Certainly good to get the right feel out of the camera as a starting point
Would e interested to see your personal and further fiddlings! (oooerrr)

this is a quick fiddle just fro you hamish :)
