Took a roll of film too ASDA and hey presto. As it was shot a long while ago I had not a clue what was on it. A lovely cheap plastic 35mm instamatic camera was used, which I loved for it's size and shape. But as it turns out , there are a lot of things that a camera needs, to work well as a camera besides those attributes I liked.

Oh, oh. Film's getting too trendy. I'm going back to digital!

Maybe not.

I like this, Julian. He's quite a catch, isn't he? When I zoom in on my iPad, he does seem to have classic alien features...

Thanks Rob , just trying this new fangled film stuff. Might just catch on who knows .
Was he a catch? I thought she was ;)

There is something other-worldly about this isn't there? I like it and the lines in the composition work nicely I think too.
Thanks Pete one of those one that is complete luck , obtaining the content. I actually love the truck, not often vehicles enhance an image, but that the woman and the hang rope help. Spot on about the lines and geometry they bring.

That is really nice. Are you scanning the photo or the negative? If so what scanner. THANKS!!!

Steve, thanks. Scanned negatives. I use the Canon 9000F , mark 1, there is a MK2 now which is basically the same. It is ok but on reflection I wish i'd gone with the Epson V700 which is in these parts , what most of the independent camera stores use to commercially scan. Or at , price dictated to me at the time.

I like this image, Julian. Pete said there is something other worldly about it and I agree with him. Its interesting that there is no one in sight except for that person with the camera, who seems somehow transported to that spot as if beamed down from the Starship Enterprise. Its a very cool image.

Thanks Brian. yes Pete was spot on. As usual . half of that Jetty was newly built and now it has white lines and yellow hatchings for parking, and the rest is covered in net bins. It was odd that no fishermen were about. Maybe I was out of this universe, perhaps she was an Alien, or even a human and I the Alien. I feel like one sometimes.
I picked up an Minolta AFT yesterday and have the same roll of film as this, I'll take the same shot sometime this week, see how it is.
