They are well made indeed, there about the top-end of the LP bongos. As a mediocre conga player I wanted to try something different, with a higher pitch...

How in the meaning of with what technique, or how as related to each other? They are tuned with the bolts on which they're standing, but I guess you knew that. And they are typically tuned in a quarter or a fifth.... I tuned mine in a quarter....
 
Yes, I meant the interval. They seem close in diameter, so that got me wondering about pitch. A quarter, or fourth, is a good idea.

You never see them sold by the Bongo- them only come in pairs-Bongos.
Or have I got the scale wrong an there wooden kettle drums!
 
No John, these are bongos, yes, and they come in pairs indeed. The hembra (the large one, female) and the macho (the smaller one, male).
