Photography: A Victorian Sensation

You must come to Edinburgh to see this exhibition. No less than 18,000 items related to photography in the 19th century, though it does drift into the 20th century with the Box Brownie. Best £10 entry fee I've paid in a long time.
Great to see original Dauguereotypes, and calotypes from Talbot's book, The Pencil of Nature. And many Ambrotypes, which I liked a lot. Lots of original cameras too, and related paraphernalia.

I'd like to see the Lee Miller exhibition and this one, I heard her son talking about it and have the books he's edited/written about both his parents. Will see what I can do.

Norwegians are especially welcomed in Glasgow I hear, the football oriented ones from my district. Maybe Edinburgh shall roll out the red carpet for me when I arrive? If not, I'll have to pass it down.:D
