POPPY

Nice way to see it Pete, thanks. Of course i know what it is , your interpretation by far, improves it. I did wonder when first developing this, and realised it was stronger with the moon ;) than without.

Superb Julian, very scifi nice use of lighting to create the light/dark background. I'm sure without the 'moon' itwould have less impact. All in all I like it :)

wOw superb clarity and light, amazing bokeh. Did you shoot this tripod bound etc..?

Which lens was used Julian..?

Peter it was the Oly 75 f1.8 with extension tube. I almost always have the tripod with me. In a garden I have it attached all the time. A small light Manfrotto, 732CY , I paid £60 at my local shop, without a head. It is wonderful, not for windy days or heavy MF cameras, but is OK with the 5Djust and especially the M4/3 cameras. I rarely use the tripod at eye height, preferring to use a tripod at all times. To this day it always surprises me the difference in view of the world when the camera is shooting from a position of a lower height than our eye. Often I look at live view and it is not what I am seeing from my position. I then reminds me to look more closely at alternative perspectives.
