We are doing a website for an opticians in town, I have been in today to take some photos of some of the brands they stock. They are having quite a photography based site and the owner has given me free rien to do what I like ... So i have done stuff like this...

IMHO The first does it for me...just abstract enough to catch the eye. Although...the second does make it clear who the manufacturer is.

Well they work for me Hamish. I can imagine there are many graphical opportunities here as they are all related closely to a common theme and yet can be treated in a very diverse manner. Should be interesting.

A fine set of glisteny, OOOFy foties. They work very well with the specs, and they are,...well,...lets just call it like we see it: eye-catching!

I like 'em all but I like especially that in #2 I can read "Good Day Sun" through the right lens and the designer's name through the left one. (But, do you want the price on the lens, Hamish?)

The prices don't matter really Brian, the photos are quite small on the website and the conclusion we came to was that they gave the images a bit more of a feel of "real life" rather than perfection.

Just the 1.4 Dan, dof seems even more narrow on full frame .. I'll lend you the d800 for a weekend if you like, see for your self?

... I'm not see I see you meaning there Chris, maybe I should buy my self some glasses ...I had a few more, but they are gone ... Good punning with you though! Ill try harder next time

I tend to remember association more than products.
For instance the first say on the handlebars of a Vespa, the second on a grassy tennis court, the third on a box of chocolates,
... they promote a lifestyle as it were ... which having recently read a little book on some of the best advertising, is what they promote.
