Critique Welcomed Prequel: On Gruinard Bay

Yesterday I posted "On a beach somewhere in Scotland". This was taken moments earlier. Not sure which one I like better.

Olympus XA3 and Arista EDU 400 film processed in Rodinal.

I like this one best at this moment as Ive not seen the other one yet Now I've seen the other one it's a split down the middle but the other one just has it, for reasons of composition. The slightly further distance of the people and the dog not playing like a dog but wants to be more human like in the other. Two excellent images .

I prefer the other as well, Brian. This is a fine image but the overall arrangement of the other works better I think.
