Clear air today, you can see islands off the coast which are usually lost in the smoggy mess of SoCal air pollution. (Left of frame on the horizon)

The infamous Carlsbad Power Plant is on the coast to the left, and the coastline then heads north through Camp Pendleton, to the mountains. Visibility is well over 60 miles.

Brian, I don't now how the smog impacts your area, but you really notice on a clear day what you've been missing in the way of color, resolution, distance etc
