Judging by the result, your chase was successful. May I ask what metering strategy you used for these shots?

Exactly as Chris shared with me- meter for the highlights (I personally have a preference for under exposing by a 1/3rd to a full stop) with the people I focused on their faces for the strongest light source.

Continuing to practice on this technique whilst the weather is playing nice.

A casual observation is this technique proved easier to elicit from my Nikon than my Sigma- no parity really with the two (sensor or lens) but I find the Nikon sensor is much more forgiving and flexible for edits than the Foveon.

You have a better eye for the scenes hidden subtext than me Pete as I overlooked that part of the sign yet it’s the value and wit here!! Top credit indeed!
