Quiver tree

This lonely Quiver Tree (Kokerboom - Aloe dichotoma) overlooks a rocky plain in the Kalagadi Trans Frontier Park in Southern Africa. This park covers sections of South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.

The fleshy Quiver tree can survive in dry areas where few other trees can.

Canon EOS 1DSmk3, Canon 17-40mm at 25mm, f11, 1/250sec
