On the morning we left Paris we stopped at a bakery for stuff to eat in the car as we drove north to Calais. The bakery was the Boulanger Patissier, on the Place General Patton.

Took this shot with my Canon F1 and Kodak Gold 800 film.

Looks a bit weird that, all them nice cakes and a severed hand:eek:...;).

Handy! :D

Sorry - couldn't resist - looks yummy, and the pastries as well :)

Blimey (zut alors), you're almost fluid in the old Franglaise! ;)

Wonderful shot Brian. And timed to perfection. Mind those green ones look a bit dodgy! ;)
That's about all I know of the French lingo, Pete, other than how to order a glass of wine (or beer).

Those dodgy-looking green ones are called macarons. My girls love them. They even tried to bake some once we got to Scotland. A dreadful failure I'm afraid. Which means we have to return to Paris. :)

Thanks for the comments, Pete.
