Redundant

A great image. I really like the light, how the stark window light is reflected and diffused back into the hall, it's warmth soon lost in the rather cold looking decor. I imagine getting the exposure right wasn't entirely straightforward, capturing everything from the bright windows right down to the shadowy left hand corner. I have to admit, I do like to look at well executed urbex pics.

Thanks, glad you like it! Took it earlier today... hot off the press as you might say. I took a few shots with different exposures and ended up using the middle one and bringing the shadows up in post (Darktable).
The building was well secured, and I'm not up for any daring tactics anyway, 😄 so this was shot through a window with the camera... um... phone... held up flush against the glass.

I was grateful to the builders for putting a window there!

With this scene, I'd like to see a duel between Ralph's Ensign Carbine no.12 and Steve's Nokia X30.
Oo... yes! Incidentally, I was also shooting the remainder of a roll of HP5+ in my Pentax Z20 on this little trip - but I'd finished it before I got this scene.

but are you sure it is not being renovated?
Well spotted Ivar. Apparently, it was being renovated by a previous owner who then gave up. This room is the smartest bit...
The building is the former Bombala Literary Institute.
