Hamish, this is one of my pieces, a lot of airbrush work with some fine lining brush work, acrylic on canvas another winter thing......I tend to paint and draw in the evenings rather than watch Emmerenders Street or whatever...:)

I would like to reproduce 'Rendezvous at 7' in a modern theme with retro PP using photography, two exhibited side by side would be interesting I think.........:)

These are very nice Kev. Is there no end to your talents?!! I like the movement of the planes, especially No. 2, but No. 1 is my favourite painting. It ticks all the right boxes and I too have been interested in creating similar themed shots (mysterious flights of steps and alleyways on dark winter evenings - Berlin and Potsdam has a few possibilities and I'll be in Vienna at the end of the month). And I have a willing model!! I'd originally been looking for a location but maybe I should composite the image having seen your work. Food for thought! But it would be a great idea to recreate the first photographically. What did you have in mind?

cheers Pete.

I'm thinking Modern Train, have we got any in the UK I wonder? modern fashions, again at night, A clock is a must, ditigtal Station clock would work, the Lamp, possibly not as there aren't many of those at Stations now but some form of moody lighting, maybe single strobe set off behind a gobo to creat some shadow effects, then B&W toning, high contrast so deep shadows...it would be great to get some smoke going but I don't think they would let me do that, in fact I have tried photographing on the platform before and got asked to either catch my train or go.........Damned Jobsworths..

Either that or just giving it seventies feel

Ah yes, I've seen them!
Very nice... I'd like to see them in real life ...
My artwork is a little more abstract than that... In fact its basically scribble of nothing...
I'll post somthing sometime

Severn trent railway?

Severn Valley Railway I think Hamish :)

But we have one down past Broadway.

Dave it would be good with Steam but then I'll be trying to reproduce the painting, What I thinking is a modern version with a retro or B&W treatment so the Image looks old..........and the viewer has to look into the image to see that it is in fact a modern day image.....does that make sense??

WOW Kev! :)

fab Kev again liking them all , but that first one has an air of mystery to it, like something from Murder on the Orient Express, dark deep, just oozes mystery for me

Thanx Laurie, I exhibited that one about local theatre/cinema and amazingly 'The Big Sleep' was showing the week of the opening......there iin the foyer was the film poster and close by my artwork wish I'd photog'd it but sadly a missed opportunity :( Numpty :(
