Rhona Playing A Theorbo

I was looking for images on my hard drive of the theorbo, an ungainly giant lute, and found this. They seem to have been taken on a Canon SureShot G10, before I got "into" photography. Isn't she beautiful?! Sadly, her time with the theorbo could be counted in seconds...maybe six years ago?

Pete - yes, six years. She is 12 here.

Julian - you are correct! As for an instrument, no, she played piano, bass and guitar, but only for a short period before her talent for drawing swamped everything.

Ivar - not so! She asked me if she could try it. It's true. As is the way with the youth, before they are teenagers they will try anything, and everything seems cool. On her 13th birthday, she started seeing her Old Man in a different light! I can't wait until she's 20, when the spell disappears.

You think they revert age 20  No they get better at hiding it :D

Yes, I can see that happening. I'm going to miss her next year.
Have too say Rob I found it very painful. I think partly as I was on my own bringing them up, so my roll changed so dramatically. But really for any parent it is a dramatic change of family dynamics. Yet I do love the idea of them growing their own wings and hopefully into strong independent women. The holidays are good when they pop back from Uni.
