Thanks, Chris! The backlighting on Sadie's coat really caught my eye as we were driving along. (SWMBO always tries to confiscate whatever camera I have on me when we set off someplace. She makes it very difficult to get a fotie sometimes what with all the wrestling for the camera and me trying to keep the car on the road and all,...she really should be more careful.)

What a great shot Brian.. I certainly echo Chris's comments about the lighting etc. But I also love the detail in the mirror and the way you can't quite make it out.

I know what you mean about shooting and driving. The Leica is not so much of a problem but the 5x4 is a bit more of a hassle. I find it quite hard to position the black cloth while changing gear!!

Thanks Rob. Sadie is not the most loquacious creature. Indeed, I'd characterize her as cerebral. So it's often hard to know what's going on in her mind. In this instance, though, I DO know what she was thinking. I took this image as we were on our way to the library. Moments earlier I had prompted her with the question "Do you want 'Rights of Man' again?" (She's read it several times.) At this she turned and gazed out the window, and that's when I snapped the picture.

I know what you mean, Pete. I have tremendous difficulty focusing the ground glass under the dark cloth while driving, what with the image being upside down and reversed and SWMBO swatting at me and bickering combatively. Its hard to concentrate in such instances.
