First they shaved her chest and belly so they could do X-rays and later an ultrasound. Then, because they didn't know until the surgery whether they would need a flap of skin to pull back over the incision to close it up (they didn't, fortunately) they had to shave her coat quite radically. Here is a fotie of her several days ago.
Prognosis: Where they removed the sarcoma they installed two "chemo beads." However, following lab analysis of the tumor the oncologist has recommended further chemo treatments, which we expect to begin next week.
She's looking good, though, ain't she?
