Sangre de Cristo Mountains

Starting the Rocky Mountain range in New Mexico, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains have a dusting of snow, even at this time of year.

Taken from the edge of the Rio Grande Gorge - they rise out of the plato which stretches out to the mountains, framed by high Cirrus clouds.

Cracking shot! Like the way the fence and 'path' leads me to the mountains. Do you know how high they are?? :)

Thanks Dan! :)

I believe they are up over 12,000 ft
