Self Portrait with Thunderstorm

Taken on the same day as Erratic and Ingleborough. You can see the type of weather I got in Yorkshire last October. I stood on the hill by the Ribblehead Viaduct and got soaked to the skin. After a couple of hours I was in real danger of getting hypothermia, so I made my way back to the car.

And the sun came out for a few moments. (Ms Sarah again). After that, it hailed as I have never seen it before. I drove back to Hawes and the roads were white!

Loving all of the textures in the shot - the way the grass is laid out pointing into the frame, and the contrast with the soft clouds

Love Yorkshire - even though it does rain/hail/snow a fair bit!

The old dears have a place in Kirkbymoorside - such beautiful scenery on the moors and by the coast.

You can't beat Yorkshire for scenery or light. It's a shame it is so far away from where I live. I only had a three day break and yet I drove over 900 miles
