seneca rocks drone video

Oh Beth, you siren you! I am sorely tempted by drones and this piece isn't making it go away. Some delightful sequences and if any of the tiny figures visible is you, then I am all the more impressed. That ridge looks lethal.

oh no, my lazy butt was firmly on the ground. i have no desire to climb any mountains.

everybody should get a drone. i'd start with a cheaper dji mini (unless you're in the usa) and see if you like it enough to upgrade. except nobody ever ends up trading in their drone and upgrading. they just expand their fleet. if you just want to shoot some video and scout, then the mini 3 pro is about $400 usd. the mini 4k is a little cheaper, but the mini 3 is a better aircraft. the minis, airs and mavics are all good for video.

the avata and neo are also dji drones, but they're a different type of drone. they're both good for video, but fly like fpv/cinewhoop drones (think roller coaster) rather than as camera drones (the horizon generally doesn't tilt left and right on camera drones) and require you to wear goggles to fly.

drones are not great for large size photos unless you get a mavic 4. most of them are good for small prints and the internet. the mavic 4 makes decent images suitable for sizes up to 24x36", maybe larger, but that's as large as i've printed.
