OK, clearly not but it reminds me of shots of the Acacia trees shot at sunset for some reason. This is a tiny fragment of a larger shot that I'm still toying with.

Nice, it does instantly remind you acacia trees and this angle it's like lying down looking up at one. Like the PP, I seldom add noise to an image but you seem to use it to such good effect.

Thanks Vic. I used SilverFX to do the mono conversion and increased the grain to keep some texture in the sky. The similarity struck m when I first saw them and I spend some time taking shots of them from a low angle against the sky.

does the full un cropped version have a lot of stem? just having a little bit more on show would make it seem even more tree like

Not really I'm afraid as the cross over a lot and there was long grass as well. I will probably play with a few more though.

That looks like an image printed on 180 grit sandpaper! Very cool.

180 grit sandpaper. Now there's an idea. I've got some liquid emulsion somewhere!!
