Phaidon interview with Stephen Shore - in which he recounts many stories including a meeting with Ansel Adams.

During the meal I saw him drink six tall glasses of straight vodka. After, he said, in an unemotional way, 'I had a creative hot streak in the 40s - since then I've been pot boiling.' " The experience affected Shore. "When I find myself copying myself I give myself new issues to pursue.
