Shooting For Bleach Bypass

I want to use a Bleach Bypass effect on some upcoming shots. in terns of camera exposure, which end of the scale should I favour? I had a feeling slight overexposure was better than correct or under.

Will use the BB preset in Perfect Photo 8

I find that BB darkens the shadows quite a bit and would have also guess overexposure would be the way to go. Can you not push to the right and then set your bracketing to take 2 progressively shorter exposure shots?

thanks Paul. in the end I didn't bother, though the Russian Hitman shot was along the lines of what I was looking for
