Good saturday, well spent!

Nice series Hamish. Even managed to squeeze a self portrait in I see! :)

That shot of the bar is rather nice isn't it? Did you notice that the lady on the left was looking at you suspiciously?!! In the one of Hannah and Alice I thought my screen had gone funny for a second then I realised the two horizontal bands were some sort of pelmet - very confusing!

So, what was for tea then? ;)

Its not Hannah Pete, its her sister...
Yes, it sorta needs a boarder that one eh?

Yes, im over the moon with the one of the Bar!
You know Brians shot taken with his XA of the big room ...

I
ve been trying to get lightroom to pp a similar, slightly cleaner feel ... i feel i have succeeded to an extent, or at least to an extent that im happy with ... its not the same i know, but since seeing that image, ive been less happy with my b&w pp - hense the look at silver effex...
I cant afford silver effex at the mo, but i felt i should persevere with LR a bit more ... today i made my self happy, at last!

I did notice her, i chose chose to pretend like i didnt :)

yes, me in the window, i was a little merry by then ... hence the blured other shot ...

Erm ... what was for tea? bloody good question that ... i have no idea ... i was drunk at the time, what can i say? :)

AAAH ive just remembered ... some sort of pasta bake thing!
The pasta was cooked from raw in the oven which now i remember blew my mind at the time ...

I was confused by the shot in the bar as well. I thought you included a shot of a narrow strip, then I realised it was part of the next photo. :)

Very nice and interesting records of your weekend. Ben looks merry and content in the first shot :D.

Could you elaborate on the story behind the shot of weekend?

Love that first shot of Ben, and also the one of the pub. Really perfect. But why is she cooking in a ski parka?

It's a Gillet ... Itsa fashion my friend ... So I'm told!
Much of the weekend was spent discussing the pronounciation of the word .. Is it a 'j' sound, a 'g' sound ... Does it end in 'it' or 'ay' ... I have no idea ... It's a jacket that leaves your arms cold basically!

Could you elaborate on the story behind the shot of weekend?

Just my fave shot really, it was taken in a cafe called "Boston tea party" ... Everyone gets very excited about how nice it is in there, and it is nice ... Not a pub though :( Charlotte and Alice didn't seem to want to come to the pub, we had a bit of a stand off and lost, so we went to the cafe to meet them ... the previous shot is them sat 90 degrees to the right! I just thought it made an interesting photo. Especially with the sus looking woman :)

Leave it to you Brits to adopt a French word and then massacre it! :-) The French word for what she's wearing would be "gilet", which is pronounced "jee - lay", more or less.

I was brought up on catch phrase mate ... "say it as you see it!"
