Rob MacKillop Edinburgh Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #1 From my garden, before even I had awoken... blue flowers by RobMacKillop, on FlickrX100 macro
Rob MacKillop Edinburgh Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #2 I know it's not properly in focus, but it's how I see the world before my first coffee...
Pete Askew Admin Mar 14, 2012 #3 Focus be damned - the textures and colours are great. I find there's a bit too much space at the top but I really like it. It would probably also work well with muted colour too.

Rob MacKillop Edinburgh Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #4 Thanks, Chris. I also wondered about the space at the top, but never liked any of the crops I made.
Brian Moore Moderator Mar 14, 2012 #5 That was Pete, Rob, no Chris. (You'll see that once you get yer coffee.)
Rob MacKillop Edinburgh Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #6 Oops. Coffee injected into my veins, I feel more alive...Sorry, Pete!
Pete Askew Admin Mar 14, 2012 #7 Well, I was shocked! I know Chris often says he's been called worse, but... No problem - I went through phase of mixing Dan and Tom (I still have nightmares about it!).

Chris Dodkin West Coast Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #8 Loving the colors - it just sums up spring I've found the macro mode on the X100 has built-in 'soft-focus' at f2 (a feature, honest!) and gets sharp at f2.8 and beyond. Apparently it tells you not to use f2 macro in the manual somewhere, but I've yet to find that page!

Rob MacKillop Edinburgh Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #9 Ah, OK, I'll experiment with that. I just had it on auto. But everything is blurry to me at that time of day...

Hamish Gill Tech Support (and Marketing) Mar 14, 2012 #12 A lovely image Rob ... as Chris said ... focus be damned
Rob MacKillop Edinburgh Correspondent Mar 14, 2012 #13 Cheers, Hamish. Thought I'd had too many dark photos of late. Time for some colour!
Vic Shaw Senior Member Mar 15, 2012 #16 Nice image, I like it. I do agree with Pete about the space at the top though and I would mute the colours somewhat (but thats just me) Vic
