Don't know if it belongs here, but if it is in the wrong place I hope the mods will change the location...

I have a Canon Canonet QL17 GIII, but one of the strap lugs is missing. Does anybody know a place to get a spare one? I searched with Google, but couldn't find one.....

Thanks in advance!

Not sure I can help... Take a quick snap of the surviving one ... That might help us help...

So you're talking about the actual metal lug that sticks out from the camera body?

Looking at the QL17

And looking at it with the top removed

The lugs are accessible. The strap lugs on this camera are held in by long screws that are visible once you have the top cover removed.

Then comparing with the cheaper 28

They look like they could be the same - so Pete's idea of buying a cheap dead camera for parts would be worth a shot.

If the screw threads are stripped or loose, you could use some screw-lock on re-assembly to keep things tight

Great camera - well worth repairing :)
