There is something scary in shooting children in the streets. Social climate is against all those having too much interest in children nowadays. However, I find it quite rewarding to shoot children in the public space. And at our annual fair it seems a bit easier than in other places. Because everyone is a bit more relaxed? Who knows.

This afternoon I found this situation, after some time the light and the pose came together....

Yes, suspicion is everywhere these days it seems. But when you see lovely images like this one wonders why. The lighting is great and the head of the onlooker adds rather than detracts I think. And the whole image has a great level of intrigue about it, added to by the expression of the girl herself.

It's utterly magical! I know what you mean though. As a child-sized female myself, I tend to get away with it, but it is such a shame things have come to this
