Critique Welcomed Street - Human in Geometry

Very nice set, Alfie, I like the last one especially for its geometric pattern which contrasts so well with the humans. The nearest fellow leaning over the rail has a cool contemplative posture.

#3 - saw it and loved it on Flickr - great use of B&W, and the silhouettes are perfect

Last one for me, but I've liked the others on your Flickr page already. With the first, it took me a while before I noticed the face on the left. Very good shot.

Of the three I think the first is best but it seems a pity that while the walkway is central the figure is merging into the wall. The posters on the walls are a very nice touch.

These are very nice indeed Alfie. The potential in the first location is just amazing. How would you feel about capturing someone on, or near the bottom of the stairs and maybe enhancing the posters either side? The light and mood on the last one is simply awesome. As a whole it is fantastic, but that one figure looking out is the perfect finishing touch :)

Thanks all for the kind words & the constructive input too.

Mike, I see what you mean. My thought when composing the image was to be on the left side of centre to try to give the feeling & perspective of another person/shopper walking through the arcade. Perhaps I should of stepped to the right to move the person more central & away from the wall. Thanks for the input, it gives me more to think about & something else to try!

Lesley, The Arcade is a great location, it's a shame all the little boutique shops seem to have closed down in the last year or so! I've got several images already of this location, I'll have a look to see if I have one of someone on the stairs If not I'll have another try or two! In fact the 2nd image is of someone on those stairs but from much closer. The posters are painted images & really quite nice, there's also some quite nice spot lights just above the frame.

The last image is one of quite a few I took of that roof, If anyones near to the new part of Kings Cross station it well worth a look. There's some great photo opportunities there. In fact I've a couple more to post here.

Great set Alfie,
The third one is fantastic, & greatly enhanced by the guys pose. It is often these very small things that really lift a photo.
I love the faces on the walls (that I didn't notice at 1st glance) gives it that added depth.

The whole concept is inspiring. I'll be looking more at geometry next time I'm out & about in town with m'camera :)

I live the faces in the first one... The angle makes them much more interesting I think!
Yes, instesting shot that I think!!
