Street - Whitstable Festival

Don't ask - I have absolutely no idea! This was my first and only trip so far to Whitstable and on reaching the beach it was to find dozens of people in costume for their annual festival. I actually wasn't going to bother as they were surrounded by a huge crowd (and I don't like crowds), but the incessant gale seemed to give the costumes a life of their own

I'm sure I've seen this image before...not the photograph, but the pose of the figures on a beach in a gale...

I can't find the one I'm thinking of at the moment, but I'll keep looking.

Looks like a bunch of salty sea dogs on the way back to the ship, full of grog - love the oceanic tones
