very nice & very professional looking portraits, great work Adam

Very nice, especially #2, though personally I would have liked a little less shadow...just enough to show some hint of the features.

thanks alot, hopefully more to come in the next few weeks as i have some shoots commencing this friday .

#2 really has a great feel - nice angle on the composition, and nice focus on the eye - the 50 1.4 is a lovely portrait lens

I reckon it would also make a great black and white image - have you thought of trying a B&W version?

Nice! Interesting shots, I like the lighting in the first one the most I think
The lighting in te second works too, but for the level of fall off I would be tempted to crop some of the dark space to the right of the frame... But I don't know anything about the client, the might be a very good reason for having that space there?
I like the third from the top down to her collar bone where the two shadows intersect... The shadow of her chin across her shoulder is a touch distracting for me...
BUT, I'm being really picky! ... I hope you don't mind? I'm not the greatest studio photographer in the world, but once you have done a bit of it I think you find your self knowing exactly what you like an seeing deviations from that is quite easy in other peoples stuff... Do you know what I mean? I'm certainly not saying my opinion is right, just pointing out where it perhaps differs from yours ...
I think that probably sums up this forum really ...
Anyway, as I say, hope you don't mind the critique

Well at work now but could always put a b&w together , my other shot was b&w and was good . I thought it gave a vintage feel, might add sepia layer as well

Always love input hamish. Could easily get away with cropping more of the shadow out, as it is empty space . Client wanted range of dark shots and head shots. Had half an hour to fit three girls in for muas portfolio so pretty tight. Good experience though .
