Summer Leaf

Lesley Jones

Otherwise know as Zooey
I really have to stop doing this. We literally haven't had time for a day out this year, apart from taking the Land Rover for a service. I have piles of e-mails to reply to, Bridge still to organise and about 25 years of scanning to catch up with.

This morning we were heading across the garden to see to the chickens when I spotted this leaf. I slowed down and went "Oooooh...", so my husband told me to get the camera and he finished the animals alone. It's taken the entire evening to process, complete with two driver crashes involving a re-boot (sigh).

I still haven't completed my homework for Cornwall either...

Thanks Pete, but the kit zoom doesn't do macro. I can just about get close enough with a crop to do a leaf like this, but it really is pushing things :)

Lesley superb. You know I have in the past used a kitchen roll tube, masking tape to make an extension tube. It works really well for a one off pic, to reduce the minimum focus distance. . I always do that with a new found lens if it is not a fitting I have. It will give a good indication if the lens is worth pursuing.

first sign of autumn Lesley :)
