I really like the starburst effect of that shot into the sun, Hamish, and how the light has caused that shimmery effect on the railing and the grass. (I find myself taking more shots into the sun because I like the effects. I took a picture a few months ago of my aunt and my cousin as they were sharing a laugh about something. Shot it directly into the sun. You can hardly see them very well but for some reason it's one of my favorite shots.)

In agree, the happiness literally shines through. And I like the mystery of the figure in red.

And I agree with the comments on your shot Hamish. But for me it is the dead plant stems with that stand out. The way they have highlight on them and stand out from the similarly toned ground.

Ah,...the mysterious figure in red. That's one of my cousins. She and her hubby were over here in US for a holiday at the time. (She'd love to know she was considered mysterious! )

Another great shot mate. Im liking the worn wood fence and the angle it cuts with the beam of light. Very cool almost southern states feel to it. Saying that that is a corn field.
