It has black spots on it. He's a mutt even though he looks like a Lab. At least that's what they told me when I adopted him. He had contracted Parvo and the original JERKS who had him wanted him euthanized because of the cost of the treatments. I took him in when he was about 6 months old. He's a great dog if just a wee bit stubborn. Or let's just say he frequently questions my judgement on most things.
I thought I was going to lose him a few weeks back. He chased something up a cliff with Ruby. When he came back he could barely walk. I had to carry him (65 lbs) back to the car. I was absolutely distraught. He had a pretty severe hip sprain and at 13 he's got a touch of arthritis. But he's back to his old self, if a bit more circumspect. I would be hard pressed to put in words how much I that old coot. He basically saved my life 12+ years ago.
