I love the bold areas of colour. Blue above, green spreading up to the top right and then red/yellow in the bottom left and yes, those ripples are very serene

I think it's a perfectly good landscape but it does lack the scale and drama of your usual work. And for you the place has other meanings so maybe you need a more extreme treatment. Maybe something in toned B&W?

The frame size/crop gave it away for me. It doesn't appear to be a 4/3 frame. (assuming there has been no cropping)

actually there is something to be said for the soul comment, it's the imperfections in the Oly that give it the soul content whereas the Canon picture quality is so much better .... luckily I have enough soul to compensate ))
