The Attic

Lesley Jones

Otherwise know as Zooey
Oh dear... now I've gone back to black and white, it's really in a very different way. Caudwell's Mill was spread over four floors. I think the stairs went up the middle and you could see the exhibits either side. I may have gone one floor further up than I should have done and found a little attic room that clearly wasn't part of the tour. Marked "School Room", I was fascinated, so I went in anyway. It was gloomy and dusty with three little desks and chairs that had been upturned on old flour sacks. I loved it. Normally I would have spent some time soaking up the atmosphere, but left without taking a photograph. It clearly wasn't suitable. Or was it...?

I couldn't do much about the composition because of posts and beams in the way and my lens isn't quite wide enough for some shots.
