But, as you spotted, the wrong version (its now the right one). Although the gate was level in the first the overall impression was of a slight slope and I had re-done it but uploaded the wrong one!

I think you might just have nailed it Brian. You never see any crashed flying saucers around the area so that is clearly where they end up!
