Masterful! I’d believe that was from the 1950s or earlier - the hat somehow dates it from an earlier period. And the roundness of the hat mirrored in the roundness of the - I don’t know what you call it - the round area where the batter stands, as if we can see into the man’s mind. Superb, Brian!

That is a great perspective. The eye is drawn slowly down the steps towards the figure first then on to the players.
