The Red Sofa In Dubai

A while ago I posted a very similar photo to this but in colour. For those that didn't see it the abandoned leatherette sofa is a ghastly bright red and I guess it is only made and purchased by the colour blind. I decided to look at the photos again because I like them but although although the red is part of the "statement" I was never really happy with it. I'm leaning to this black and white version as I think the tones on the sofa are much better. The colour was a nightmare to print as well as my printer just cannot reproduce all the red tones.

i remember the first, pretty hard to get that particular shade of red out of your brain without therapy.. this one is definitely easier on the eyes. i like the soft light and comp.

That makes quite a difference to the feel of the image - it almost looks quite plush there! I like this but don't think it fits so well with the others in the rubbish series.

Thanks, Beth, Pete. Pete, I think you are right though, this doesn't fit with the series visually but I like the tenderness of the tones, if that is the right way to describe it. Beth, the red is something else isn't it!
