The Social Network

I saw this movie last night--The Social Network. There is a scene in which a couple of the characters are taking part in a race at the Henley Regatta. The film makers have shot some of the Henley scenes in a way that looks just like those images with tilt-shift lenses that make real things look like toys. Has anyone seen that flick and noticed this? I found it really interesting.

I had the same reaction Brian - wondered if they used a 5D2 and T&S lens to shoot those segments?

Certainly a very interesting look, especially in the movies

Yeah, I would definitely echo Tom there, it's all over British TV at the mo! That and über narrow DOF stuff!
Not sure if anyone saw "prisoners wife's" the first scenes of the first ep there was barely a hares breadth of focus for a lot of it, but it was very effective!

Can't help thinking all of this creative stuff has become economical since the HD DSLR revolution, with access to trick lenses and such.
