Never got chance take many as was getting bit dark by time got to this point on my round trip of Worcestershire :D

DD heres one for you its the radio array I think it is or maybe someone will correct me :D:D

im not 100% sure but think it was used to contact the pilots when they were on approach to land and in the local area. Airfield will have been used primarily in WW2 I would have thought but Kev will probably tell you more about it hes older and lives on its door step :D:D:D:D
 
The Curved aerial is part of the ILS control. (Instrument Landing Systems....)

It allows aircraft to land when the airfield landing lights cannot be seen. it sends out a narrow beam radio wave which the approaching aircraft receives and knows that it is on the correct approach both bearing and height.
