Through The Looking Glass

"How very odd", said Alice…

Really interesting shot, Pete. Love the toning too. Interesting angle you've taken it from, and so odd that it looks like the leaves and branches have been cropped at the top. Were you up a ladder beforehand?

I like the linear cutoff of the tree tops and the corresponding empty sky above - very unorthodox framing, but it totally works here. Very cool shot, Pete.

Edge sharpness doesn't seem to be the Heliar's strong point, eh? ;) I'm assuming this is a rectilinear lens and has not been "defished".

Thanks all. You are right Keith and edge sharpness is certainly not one of its strong points. I decided that day that it would be only lens I used and combined it with the Monochrom to add a bit of a challenge. All-in-all, quite a successful experiment as it really forces you to take care during composition.

Time travel, and this proves it!

Very nice spooky trees Pete - love the burned out sky as backdrop

Expertly accomplished Pete.... You are a man of mystery.
