Tiny purple flowers in the woods

+ caterpillar. Fuji 60mm at I think F6.3 or 7.1 or maybe it 8. I'm too lazy to go back and check. :) These flowers were smaller than a US quarter. If I hadn't stopped to tie my shoe I wouldn't have seen them because they were growing in the woods in the shade. The caterpillar just happened to be crawling across this stick right next to them in the only sunbeam. Dumb luck.

dumb luck is my favorite style of shooting. the caterpillar is cool, i haven't seen one that looked like that in years. my favorite flower shot is the last one, the comp. just works for me..

Thanks!! I took two shots of the same flower because they were the only two that had anywhere near enough light to see them. Caterpillars are really cool. I made sure he made back to some green leaves before I moved on. :)
