Wonderful set, Rob. I'm guessing you aware of David Octavius Hill's contribution to photography. Dark Lamp is very moody. Tree Clouds is too and the chimney pots are a nice touch. Love Troosers and the juxtaposition of the alternating colors on the troosers and the pavement. Very nice set indeed.

(I'm an Eejit! Just re-read your post and see that indeed you ARE aware of Mr. Hill's contribution.)

And a damned fine catch it is too Rob. I really like the lamp against the moody sky and the silhouetted trees (nice softness to it). I also really like the figure in the window and the crop you have chosen works very well. The trousers is great - what a super capture. Maybe cropping from just below the bottom button would make it a bit more abstract. What do you think? The movement in it is great.

Och, Brian, he's weel-kent. A local hero - kinda.

Troosers - I was thinking the paving stones were worthy of a shot, then this guy just walked into view. I couldn't believe it.

River Man - I must learn how to remove the white (originally yellow) bits of paper on the right-hand bank.

Let me know if I'm uploading too much stuff...I'm beginning to feel I should spend more time in post production...

I like #5 (tree + cloud), as Brian mentioned, I also find it quite moody. The softness and the colours gave it a dreamy feel to it. Nice!

Thanks, I'll look out the clone tool. Interested too in the Nik Silver Efex Pro 2, following on from a link you gave earlier. Bit expensive, though! Maybe one day...

Roughly ten seconds in CS3 with the clone tool will get rid of the white bits of paper on the right bank Rob.
Hope you don't mind me giving it a go:o.

As for uploading too much stuff.... Impossible!!! I, for one, enjoy looking at all the shots you and everyone else is posting:).
Even if I don't post a reply to many of them:o:p.

I'm not sure either ... ????

Between the second and third for me but i don't know why:confused:.

No3 is the best for me...

Its also technically 'correct' as the figure is almost on one of the 'thirds'...supposedly the ideal positioning...

But don't let that get in the way of taking photos, such rules are meant to be broken...

Very nice set Rob - especially like the Dark lamp and garage doors
