something new! bet you guys didn't think i was capable of taking new photos.

begged off work this morning when the new shift came in (woot! a whole hour early) and managed to get here around 730ish. in the morning. not my favorite time to be awake, way too early in the day, or in this case, too late. this is sorta on the back way home, ie, the one that doesn't involve 4 lanes of expressway but adds 45 minutes to the drive and heads in right direction only if you're directionally challenged. but, to be fair, it does offer very nice views and smells of swamp, swamp gas and swamp monsters.

very nice :) , the end is the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel lol, and 730am too early !!!! I wish

Beth - what are you doing!!!

You know full well that the X-Pro1 can't take pictures of 'foliage' without it turning into a 'watercolor'.....

At least that's what they tell me on DPR :D

Fabulous shot - can't spot the swamp monster though - I guess it's green and well camouflaged ;)

thanks brian and chris.

yes, dpr is a great resource for finding out what's wrong with your camera. and if it's on the internet it must be true!

i was worried about that and have noticed the issue before. so i shot this in raw+jpg since the foliage issues are less pronounced in the sooc jpgs. but this is the raw version, the watercolor effect gave it a nice painterly look to the image that i didn't get out of the jpg, even though i processed them both to look pretty similar. no idea what it will look like in large print though.

the swamp monster was behind the camera... :p

the tunnel effect is much nicer from further back, but tbh i won't stop there. i'm afraid a guy with a banjo and a gun will come out and make me squeal like a piggy.
