Critique Welcomed Tower Of Hope

The Tower of Hope is located on the grounds of what was once called the Crystal Cathedral. The complex was recently purchased by the Catholic Diocese of Orange and it has been renamed Christ Cathedral. No matter, the Tower of Hope is currently undergoing renovation. It was designed by Richard Neutra, the well known modernist architect, and was completed in 1968.

Canon F1 and Canon 17mm lens. Ilford HP5+ processed in Rodinal.

Very nice and it certainly seems to have a magnetic attraction for this around it! ;)
Thanks, Pete. Not the ideal for architectural photography since the perspective is so warped, but I liked the seemingly "hang-dog" expression on the nearest construction worker and it seemed to fit the name of the tower. Thanks again, Pete.

It makes some statement and impact. It looks incredibly slim. Is it going to be used for religious services?
High Mass on the top floor.
It is indeed very slim, Tom. And I do believe there is the possibility that it may be used for services, as there is in fact a chapel at the very top. However, this edifice was completed in 1968, and at that time had no connection with the Catholic Church. Now that is is owned by the Catholic Diocese here its ultimate use remains unknown to me at this time. I do not know that the chapel at the top has been consecrated at this time, or if it will be. Here is another view of the Tower of Hope, Tom. The building in the foreground is (actually was) the Drive in Church. Thanks for your comments, Tom.
