I've lost count of the amount of times I've tried to capture this scene, with all manner of cameras. Finally one shot I'm happy with. I darkened it very slightly.

I'm with Rense here, Rob. A very tricky scene, especially in B&W but the DoF and contrasts here work superbly I think. A keeper indeed!

Thanks. This is one situation where a digital camera would have given a very different outcome - not necessarily worse, just different.

Great effect- looks like a Bonsai tree- Is this just with lens bokeh or have you gaussian blurred the background( which can give this effect PP)?

Hi John. It's just regular bokeh. I wouldn't know how to gaussian blur anything
