Tunnel Spin

Dan Cattermole

Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
Not going to reveal much what happened before this spin as it might spoil a thread that is going to be posted on here tonight (hopefully)

This was a 'End the night' spin'
Thought I'd try a wire wool spin in a tunnel whilst walking. I will do this again soon as I hoped there would be more wool discharge towards the end and there wasn't, then I couldn't be bothered to fetch some more from the car.... lol

Anyway. Hope you like. Its not a masterpiece, just something I'd like to share with all :)

Thanks for looking :)

Thanks for sharing Dan, I like and think it would look really good shot straight do the middle....looking forward to seeing the rest...

Cheers Kev. Definately will try that idea next. Thanks for that dude. Can already picture in my head what thats going to look like :)

Will make a GREAT spiral and with all the discharge, is there any way to spice it up with some colour, perhaps treating the wool with some sulphur or similar.........;)

the 3D nature of it is wonderful Dan - very time tunnel!

i'm in awe of these and the light painting photo's, loving them

Hhm, now, as an ex fire officer Kev, I don't think that's a good encouragement on someone who loves fire....... :D :)
Such a bad influence Kev, is this the bad coming out of you from doing good all that time. :D :D :D

It's a well know fact that ALL fire officers and Fire Fighters are or were Frustrated Pyromaniacs :D :D :D :D

Why do you think they joined in the first place? To do good for society or to have fun and get paid for it ;)

Answers on a postcard addressed to The Chief Officer.......ooh contentious news report there..........

Seriously though I'm sure you could rig something up that would light up the sky ;)

Wow, seeing this is what you do, I am glad that I didn't post my amaturish attempt at light painting ;)

Awesome pic! It would be extremely cool if you could also take video next time so we can see the making of these pictures :)

Thanks Hamish for the video, it was way cool! I didn't realise you can light fire using metal wool + battery :)

Jim, a very wise member on here told me that I should be more confident about my shots, although this member produced mind blowing wedding shots that anyone would be proud of..... no names metioned hey Hamish?
The thing is, I can see from a different point of now. I certainly wouldn't catagorise myself as 'Amaturish' when it comes to describing my efforts.
I'm not gonna ask you to post the picture that you didn't like but.... more along the lines of (if you are interested)..... go for it!!
Your work is excellent! you have the potential to do alot more form the stuff I've seen of yours, and most of all, it's great to see other people giving it a go!
Here's my very very first spin

And my first Light Mummy....

I sort of understood what I had to use as far as settings were concerned, had a few random 'writing in the sky' shots to get these settings understood, but I had NEVER sculpted a figure over mine and eneded up with that.

Just trying to point out what can be acheived and I really like to see what you can do...... only cause you've admitted giving it a go and showed interest. Mwahahahaaa!!! got you now :D :D :D :D
Sorry to put you in the spot light Jim............ who thinks he should? :D :D
