Turquoise Bridge at Clare Park

Took a path that for some reason we have never taken before although we have been to the park tons of times. Found this bridge that had been painted in a colour completely not in keeping with anything else around it. Seemed like a good candidate for selective desaturation.

TBH, now I've looked at this again I don't like it! I don't know what I was thinking of!

to be honest Paul..........there are to many branches in foreground distracting away form the bridge behind, the desaturation effect doesn't seem to help.

I have to say I'm not a fan of this apart from it being selective colouring ( or desaturation). It seems a little grey over all, it needs to be a little darker and a little more contrasty.

Is there such a thing as a good candidate for selective colouring?

I know, I know, I hang my head in shame. My wife saw it while I was playing around with it on the computer and she said it looked cool so I believed her! When I came back to it I realised it was fairly terrible.
